Why SRAM instead of DRAM

According to a new access technology is being developed, I see the SRAM and non-volatile memory can not instead of DRAM, it is because of the layout area, cost, and electrical characteristics.

The new access technology can reduce the access latency of DRAM very greatly, please read the following patent documents: US 20180114567A1, and US 10482951B2.
